And the Journey Begins

The Oak Brooke ponies are Australia bound for the AUSe-olympics

The team had been getting ready for this event for months. Elly made lists of equipment that they needed to take and started storing it in boxes. The horses were treated with the up-most of care before the event to try and prevent injury so they'd be in top form for the Olympics.

The morning arrived to leave and the lorry was already pre-packed, all that was left to load were the horses. A few of the horses had loading issues but they had been worked on so they all hoped that the horses would manage to last the journey without going insane. The first leg of the journey took place in the Oak Brooke lorry. A six hour to drive to the airport.
The horses were loaded up one by one, with Rain the most experienced and placid horse going in first to assure that the lorry wasn't a scary place, before the craziest horse, Dan was placed in. The other three horses weren't too bad, but it was the plane journey they were concerned about.
"Are you sure we've got everything?" Elly asked the team, making eye contact with them all. Dan, Olly and Skye all nodded , looking over to the boxes of supplies piled up. There was enough there to last them months, not the fourteen days they were actually going for.
"I'll go lock up and check everything," Skye said, taking the keys from Elly. 
"Okay, right, everyone on the lorry" Elly said, rolling over to the bottom of the ramp. Dan came over and pushed her up the ramp, into the living area, where she'd spend the journey with Dan. Skye and Olly would spend it up front with Olly in the driver's seat. 
It was goin to be a long journey.
