Encouragement

The team were relieved that Rain's foal was now out and up. It took a while for the little colt to stand at first because of the deep straw bed that had been laid out for the birth but a few nudges of encouragement from a mum who was almost as wobbly as her foal, and he was up.
"Isn't he cute!" Elly squealed, wheeling herself over the straw to the foal. She petted him and the little guy fell over into her lap. She caught him and helped him get back onto all fours.
Rain was just exhausted. She stood long enough for the foal to feed but then she lay down again in the corner.
"I can't wait to get this cutie back down to the stables, he'll be the talk of the stables!" Turta said excitedly, taking a photo of the foal to send to the staff at Akmuo.
"Have you got a name for him?" Elly asked.
"Not a show name yet, but as a stable name we were thinking Claud for a colt?"
"Aww, little French dude," Skye said, walking over to sit with Rain who quite happily rested her head on Skye's lap.
"Yeh, little Claud can frolic in the fields with us down in England!" Turta said.
"I'm sure you'll give him a great home down there, but I hope we can come visit some time!
"Of course!" Turta replied. "You're welcome anytime!"
